Cromwell Historic District

The national historic district encompasses 33 buildings in the central business district and surrounding residential sections. Developed between 1875-1953, it includes examples of Italianate, Queen Anne, Classical Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow/American Craftsman style architecture. Notable buildings include the Edwin Kline-DeMotte House, Henney Funeral Home, Hussey House, Kline Building-Maccabee Hall, Smith's Hall/Knights of Pythias Hall, Pret Lung Meat Market and Biddle's Bakery.
