Noble County proudly serves as the home to nearly 48,000 residents and around 900 businesses. Our charming towns and cities, along with areas in between, are filled with locally owned retail shops, boutiques, artisan studios, home-based vendors, restaurants, breweries, bakeries, and more. These small businesses inspire this blog, especially as we celebrate National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day on March 29!

This wonderful variety of uniquely Noble Mom and Pop businesses prompted the launch of SHOPNoble at the start of the pandemic in early 2020. Like many communities, Noble County's small and family-owned businesses faced significant challenges in keeping their doors open during and after the COVID-19 shutdowns. To support them, SHOPNoble, a brand and marketing platform created by the Noble County Economic Development Corporation (now known as Be Noble Inc.), was established to expand the digital presence of local small businesses. It provides consumers with a free and easy way to discover, shop, eat, drink, and hire locally, as well as stay updated on changes in hours and services.

Today, the SHOPNoble directory features more than 300 retail shops, restaurants, and service providers throughout the county. Be sure to follow SHOPNoble on Facebook for daily updates from local merchants, including the latest food and drink specials, discounts, and special events! When you shop or hire within the SHOPNoble community, over two-thirds of your money stays in Noble County, supporting the friendly faces and families you meet here.
In addition to the interactive online directory, the SHOPNoble website is also the place to purchase community gift cards! Two options are available, both designed to please and support small businesses in Noble County.
During the holiday season, SHOPNoble offers gift baskets featuring exclusively Noble County-curated items from local makers. Discover "Made in Noble" offerings at shopnoblein.com.
A Be Noble community e-gift card can be purchased in any denomination, allowing you to email it directly to a recipient or print it out for mailing or hand-delivering. There is also a plastic Be Noble gift card option (with a longer lead time) available in any denomination. Both types of cards can only be redeemed at small businesses located in Noble County.
