A new report from the Indiana Destination Development Corporation, conducted by Rockport Analytics, highlights tourism’s remarkable economic impact in Indiana and Noble County. Visitor spending hit $43 million in 2023, generating $18 million in new economic value and supporting local businesses, jobs, and public services, in Noble County Alone.

With a 33.2% growth rate, Noble County led Indiana’s 92 counties in tourism growth, ranking 58th in overall spending. Tourism is the 11th largest industry in Noble County, benefiting not just hospitality but also retail, transportation, recreation, and the arts. Visitor spending increased 32.7% from 2022 to 2023, funding 343 public school students and 81 teachers through state and local tax revenue.

Why does tourism matter? It brings external dollars into Noble County, strengthening the local economy. Of every $1 spent by visitors, 42 cents remained in the county, supporting jobs, infrastructure, and public services.


With 117 lakes, a state park, award-winning golf courses, nature reserves, museums, breweries, and more, Noble County continues to attract visitors seeking relaxation and adventure in a charming small-town setting.
